Arthur T. Snyder, 65, died at his home, 614 W. 2nd St., today at 1:15 AM. He was son of John and Georgiana Snyder and was born at Danville, Illinois, December 27, 1870. Mr. Snyder was a former grocer in Ottumwa and over different periods had lived here about 45 years. It was about 18 years ago that he was in the grocery business. He was a member of the Willard St., Methodist Episcopal Church, a member of the Masonic order in Oakwood, Illinois, a former member the I. O. O. F. No. 129. Surviving are his wife Fannie and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Ogier of Eldon; one son, Thomas J. of Ottumwa; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Jones of Monon, Indiana, Mrs. Emma Carroll and Mrs. Irene Miller of Danville, Illinois, and Mrs. Ruby Hall of Chicago Heights, Illinois; three brothers John of Oklahoma, Harold of Flint, Michigan, and Guy of Texas, and three grandchildren Jerry Richard, Donna Lee and Marilyn Esther Snyder, all of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 PM at Johnson's funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. A. P. Keast. Burial be made in the Zion cemetery.
