Bert H. Chapman, 65 of 315 N. Jefferson St. died at his home at 4:30 AM today. He was born in Monmouth Illinois, June 21, 1871. Before his retirement about one year ago he had been connected with the Julius Fecht Cigar Co. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. Surviving are his wife, Nellie C; three daughters, Mrs. A. A. Eaton, Mrs. Don Rogers and Mrs. John Lentz, all of Ottumwa; one son, Hadley of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Richard Smiley of Monmouth, and four grandsons. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home pending completion of arrangements.
