William Simpson Bailey, 75, of Unionville, died this morning in Mount Pleasant. He was born in Davis County, February 6, 1861 and was a farmer and live livestock feeder 7 miles South of Blakesburg until 1927 when his health failed. Besides his wife, Mrs. Eva Bailey of Ottumwa, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ada Paris, Mrs. Clara Perigo and Mrs. Carrie Brooks, all of Ottumwa, and five sons, Halbert, Emery, Jack and Sampson, Jr, all of Ottumwa, and Harrison of Unionville. Short services will be held at the Lester Jay funeral home at 1 PM Saturday and at 2:30 at the Pleasant Valley church. Burial be made in the Biley cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home until time for services.
