Mrs. Jesse M. Ellis, 59, died Saturday at the home of her mother, Mrs. W. T. Gibson, 509 E. 4th St. at 3:45 PM. She was born August 30, 1876 in Wapello County and spent her entire life in the County. Besides her husband, Arthur Ellis of Ottumwa, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Adamson and Mrs. Hazel Gibson of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Florence McKinney of Des Moines; one son, Donald Ellis of Ottumwa; and four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Drake, Mrs. R. L. Stentz and Mrs. Edna Ellis of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Nellie Poland of Muskegon, Michigan, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lester Jay funeral home Tuesday at 2 PM, conducted by the Rev. R. W. Swick, pastor of the Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church, of which he was a member. Burial be made in the Ottumwa cemetery.
