Finkel Dies

William Finkel, 85, 600 S. Second St., died at 7 a.m. today at the Park View Care Center. He was owner of the Fairfield Iron and Metal Co. and the Ottumwa Iron and Metal Co.

Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Jewish Cemetery.

Finkel was born June 15, 1888 in Poland. He was married March 11, 1917 to Zara Ullman, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Ely Finkel, Ottumwa; one daughter, Ms. Esther Soodhalther, Rock Island; three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Clara Ruben, New York City.

He was a member of B'nai Jacob Synagogue in Ottumwa and B'nai B'rith.
