Margaret Jean Helmick

LIBERTYVILLE - Margaret Jean Helmick, 53, of rural Libertyville, died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996, at her home.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. John Garr officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa. Family visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the service begins.

Mrs. Helmick was born April 1, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Thomas and Wanda Anderson Keeley. On Sept. 21, 1986, she married Charlie Helmick in Eldon. She was a homemaker and a member of Southern Baptist Church in Eldon.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Marjorie Helmick of Springfield, Ill.; 11 stepchildren; a brother, Thomas Keeley of Libertyville; three sisters, Joyce Thomas of Texas, Jorene Keller of Cedar Rapids and Chris Couglin of Orange City. Her mother and a son preceded her in death.
