ORVILLE S. WILLIAMS

Orville S. Williams, 64, of 224 Santa Fe street, died at 11:45 a.m. today at the St. Joseph Hospital. He had been an employee of the John Deere Ottumwa Works for the past 24 years.

He was born September 13, 1887 in Owingsville, Ky., the son of Smith and Nancy Williams, and had lived in Ottumwa for 26 years. He was married September 23, 1915 to Esther Huntoon, and is survived by his wife and the following eight children, Jess Williams, Washington, Iowa; Cpl. Harold Williams in Germany with the air force; John Williams in the navy air corps at Whidbey Island, Wash.; Cpl. Robert Williams, Ft. Campbell, Ky.; Howard Williams, Charles Williams, Mrs. Philura Woten and Mrs. Mildred Erb, all of Ottumwa.

He is also survived by his father Smith Williams, Auburn, Ill., 16 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Annie Phillips, Buffalo, Ill.; Mrs. Minerva Snyder, Auburn, Ill.; Mrs. Edith Baker, Springfield, Ill.; Mrs. Virginia Edgecomb, Troy, Ill.; Alva Williams, Kentucky; Clarence Williams, Bremerton, Wash. and Homer Williams, Elgin, Ill. His mother and one son, Francis, preceded him in death.

The body is at the Johnson funeral parlor pending completion of funeral arrangements.
