RITES FRIDAY

Dean S. Bolibaugh, 79, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Eddyville, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the home of his daughter, Alice DeRooi of Grinnell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Eddyville Christian Church, with burial at Memorial Lawn at Ottumwa. Friends may call at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Grinnell and left at the Smith Funeral Home.

The son of U. Grant and Anna Sinnard Bolibaugh, he was born Oct. 16, 1902, at Eddyville. He attended Eddyville schools. On July 14, 1928, he was married to Ruth M. Miller at Ottumwa.

Mr. and Mrs. Bolibaugh farmed near Eddyville until 1967 when they retired and moved to Tucson, where they had lived for the past 14 years. They moved to Grinnell to live with their daughter in December 1981.

Mr. Bolibaugh was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church and the Eddyville Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; his children, Alice DeRooi of Grinnell, Paul Bolibaugh of Eddyville and Donald Bolibaugh of Oskaloosa; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bertha Stark of Boise, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Bolibaugh; and a sister, Frances Cox.
