ELDON - Bert Davis, 84, longtime Eldon newspaper owner, died Thursday in a hospital in Bettendorf.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon after which the casket will be flown to Fort Wayne, Ind., for burial.
Davis owned and operated the Eldon Forum for many years before his retirement.
He is survived by one son, Bert, Jr., Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Lou Griffitts, Fairfield, and Mrs. Nelle Finney, Eldon; three brothers, Wilson, Windsor, Mo.; Walter, San Gabriel, Calif.; and Noel, Medford, Ore.; and two granddaughters.
