Death Comes To Mrs. Clara Mincks, 72

Mrs. Clara Belle Mincks, 72, of 134 North Hancock street died Wednesday at 12:20 p.m. at the St. Joseph hospital.

The daughter of Frank and Cordelia Bennett, she was born July 22, 1879, in Wapello county, and had been a resident of this community most of her life. Her marriage to Moses Mincks took place December 25, 1896. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational church.

Mrs. Mincks is survived by one son, W. Walter Mincks of New York city; one daughter, Mrs. J.E. McDermott of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas Huston of Rantoul, Ill., and Susan and Linda McDermott, both of Ottumwa; one niece, Mrs. Leo Foley of Wyandotte, Mich., and a cousin, Jesse Bennett of Highland Center.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 1917; one son, F. Marion Mincks in 1927; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Joseph A. Zimmerman of the Plymouth Congregational church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.

Pallbearers will be W.C. Brunk, Cornelius Rater, Lyle Howard, Matt L. Lawrence, Dr. James Miller and Dr. G. Raymond Johnson.
