Charles Anderson Dies At Age 78
Wapello County, Resident 70 Years; Lived 2 Miles East of Munterville
Charles E. Anderson, 78, for 70 years a resident of Wapello County died at midnight Wednesday in his home, 2 miles East of Munterville on Chillicothe route 1. He was the son of Charles and Hannah Anderson and was born in Sweden, May 17, 1858. He was a member of the Munterville Lutheran Church. Surviving are one son, Edwin of Chillicothe route one; one brother, Alex, Chillicothe route 1 and one grandson, Gordon of Chillicothe route 1. His wife, Hannah; one daughter, Mrs. Lena Lindahl and two sons preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 PM at the home and at 2 PM at the Munterville Lutheran Church conduct by the Rev. Carl Erickson. Burial will be made in Munterville cemetery. Friends may call at Johnson's until 4 PM Friday when the body will be taken to the residence.
