Ottumwa Courier April 25, 1936

Mrs. Mary Ellen Huddleston, 87, widow of James L. Huddleston, a Civil War veteran, died at 9:45 PM Tuesday at the home of her son, Clifford Huddleston, Loomis and Julian Street. She survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sadie Schneider, Wauconda, South Dakota and Mrs. Allie Lane of Ottumwa; and four sons, Charles James and Clifford of Ottumwa and Wesley of Collins, Missouri. There are also 38 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Her husband and four children preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 PM at the Clifford Huddleston home.
