Donald Swartz rites ????

KEOSAUQUA - Donald B. Swartz, 74, of rural Keosauqua, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday at Parkview Care Center, Fairfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Church of the Nazarene in Fairfield with the Rev. C. Lee Gamblin officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where memorials to Swartz's church may be left.

Swartz was born June 25, 1912 at Parkston, S.D., the son of Byron and Edith Trow Swartz. He lived in South Dakota and Idaho, moving to Van Buren County in 1947. He was a rancher and a farmer and worked at Dexter and Louden's in Fairfield. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. On June 6, 1941 at Bowmont, Idaho, he married Helen Green, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Dr. Lauren Swartz of Bozeman, Mont.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Robert of Redwood Valley, Calif., Richard of Columbia, S.C., Dr. Paul Swartz of Saratoga,Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn O'Hara of Torrance, Calif., and Dorothy Blair of Rapid City, S.D.
