MRS. JOHN BONGERS

Mrs. Ethel L. Bongers of 413 N. Sheridan died at 5:41 p.m. today at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been ill several weeks.

Born in Ottumwa and a lifetime resident she was the daughter of John and Jennie Fitzsimmons McGuire. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and of the Alter and Rosary Society.Her marriage to John Bongers took place at Ottumwa in 1924. He died in 1944.

Survivors include one sister Mrs. Rose Broyles of Quincy Ill.: two nephews; Thomas McGuire of Sierra Madre. Cal.and William McGuire of Troy Center, Wisc.: one niece Miss Margaret McGuire of Los Angeles. Three brothers preceeded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home and at 9:00 A.M. at St. Patricks Church where the requiem Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Dennis Canalon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 7:00 Friday to recite the Rosary.
