ALBERT J. SLUTTS

Albert John Slutts, son of Samuel and Martha Crane Slutts, was born March 24, 1898 in Missouri and passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 1964 at his home in Ottumwa, at the age of 66.

His early life was spent in the Douds community and most of his adult life was spent in Ottumwa. Mr. Slutts was employed at the Hall-Ekfelt Furniture store in Ottumwa, until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Cora; a son, David; a sister, Mrs. George Hill of Douds, and a brother, Ted Slutts of Ottumwa; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral home in Douds, with Anthony L. Slutts, a nephew of the deceased officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Douds.
