Mrs. Kate Brown, 69, wife of A. R. Brown, Grandview Avenue, died at the St. Joseph hospital today at 1:45 PM. Mrs. Brown was a native Ottumwa and had lived here all of her life with the exception of two years. She was born in November 5, 1866, the daughter of Jacob and Katherine Schaub. Surviving are her husband, and one brother, John Schaub, Franklin. The body will be at the Lester Jay funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
