Rev. Bussing, 80, Dies In Hedrick,
Former Pastor Of Davis Street Church Had Been Minister 32 years.
The Rev. Isaac Scudder Bussing, 80, former pastor of The Davis Street Christian church and a Church of Christ minister for 32 years, died at his home and Hedrick at 8:20 PM Monday. The Rev. Mr. Bussing was pastor of the Ottumwa church from November 22, 1914, to October 22, 1917, during which time he founded the Triangle brotherhood movement of the church, active chapters of which are still in operation. He had been a Y. M. C. A. secretary at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He entered the ministry following that work. He started the church in Waycross, Georgia and was called to the pastorates in New York, Wisconsin and in Iowa. Mr. Bussing was active in fraternal work, being major and brigade chaplain of the uniform rank of the Knights of Pythias of the Wisconsin grand domain. He was a member of the former chaplain of Empire Lodge No. 269, A. F. and A. M.; a member of the Clinton chapter No. 9, R. A. M., Ottumwa Council No. 31, R. and S. M. Malta Commandery No. 31, K. T. and Alce Temple, Savannah Georgia. He was a member the Ottumwa Ad Men’s club. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the M. W. A.
