WILLIAM D. WHEATON

William D. Wheaton 55 years old died at his home at 850 South Ward St at 1:10 a.m. today. He was a Spanish~American Veteran; having served at the Sixty~Third Company, Coast Artilary for three years.

Wheaton; the son of David and Anna Wheaton was born near Bloomfield August 31, 1878.

Surviving are his wife Mrs. Ada Heckert Wheaton, two daughters; Mrs. Gene Stocker and Mrs. Robert Brooks; both of Ottumwa, and one son; Ora Wheaton of Ottumwa and two grandsons; Earl and Glen Stocker.

The body was removed to the Johnson Funeral Chapel and will be returned to the residence at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

On Wednesday at noon the body will be taken back to the Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 4 p.m. Burley Black will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
