Cyrus H. Cook, 79, Chillicothe, Succumbs Saturday At Hospital Here
A native of Wapello County and practically continuous resident here since 1856, Cyrus H. Cook, 79, of Chillicothe, died at the Ottumwa hospital Saturday 11:15 PM. He was the son of David and Harriet Cook and was born in Wapello County May 1, 1856. Surviving are his wife Lucy; one daughter, Grace Cook both of Chillicothe, and one brother, Elisha Cook of, Frederic. Short funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday at 1 PM and at 1:30 PM at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Chillicothe. Burial be made in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery, Chillicothe. Friends may call at Johnson's funeral Chapel until noon Tuesday when the body will be returned to the home. Pallbearers will be J. F. Hull, Amandus Johnson, Raymond Lamis, Jesse Nicely, J. B. Kitterman and James McDonald.
