Mrs. Laura M. Blake 59, wife of Thomas H. Blake, 218 N. Sheridan Ave., died at Still hospital, Macon, Missouri, this morning. She was the daughter of William H. and Martha Cottrell and was born south of Dudley, May 3, 1876. She had lived in Ottumwa for the last 24 years. She was a member of The Davis Street Christian church. Surviving are her husband, Mose H. Blake; one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Shackelford, Pattonsburg, Missouri; one adopted son, Raymond Blake of Iowa Falls; her father, William H. Gray Cottrell of Ottumwa; one brother, Tom Cottrell, Woodburn and one sister, Mrs. C. M. Townsend, Ottumwa. The body is been brought to the Ottumwa to await completion of funeral arrangements.
