Death Calls Mrs. Shirley Bartlett
Ottumwa Woman Succumbs To Pneumonia Friday; Services To Be Held Monday.
Mrs. Pearl E. Bartlett, 46, wife of Shirley C. Bartlett, 512 N. Green St., died suddenly at 4:15 PM Friday of bronchial pneumonia in Des Moines. Mrs. Bartlett was taken to a Des Moines hospital some time ago. It was on the return trip that Mrs. A. M. Bartlett, who is still in critical condition at Oskaloosa hospital, was injured. Mrs. Shirley Bartlett was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann, and Nancy Bartlett and one son, William, all at home; two brothers, Philip Todd of Meyer, Illinois and Harvey Todd of Ursa, Illinois, and four sisters, Mrs. A. J. Coberly of Haven, Kansas, Mrs. C. H. Wildin and Mrs. Robert Reaves, both of Brazil, Indiana, and May Todd, in Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at Johnson's funeral Chapel at 1:30 PM Monday and at the First Presbyterian Church at two o'clock conducted by the Rev. H. Sears Thomson, D. D.
