Mrs. Samuel Butler passed away at her home in What Cheer.

She was born in Ottumwa on June 19, 1870, the daughter of Sophia and John Anderson and lived in Ottumwa until about 15 years ago, when she married Mr. Butler and moved to Sigourney and later to What Cheer.

She is survived by her husband, three step children, Mrs. George Randall, Homer Butler and Harry Butler. Also four brothers, Sebert, Barney, Fred and Lloyd Anderson.

Services were held in charge of the Rev. L. G. Potter, pastor of the Christian church and burial was made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery, Sigourney, Iowa.
