RUSSELL SELIX, JR.

Russell Lowell Selix, Jr., 60, of 128 1/2 S. Cherry died at 7:20 p.m. May 16 at University Hospital, Iowa City.

He was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Wapello County to Russell and Ethyle Jones Selix. He worked at Pamida Discount Center and was a member of First Pentecostal Assembly of God. He married Darlene M. Simmons on March 20, 1955 in Ottumwa.

Survivors: his wife; his mother; a sister, Beverly Counterman of Ottumwa; and brothers Joe and C.W. of Ottumwa.

Service: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at his church, the Revs. Charles Hamby and John Lanferman officiating. Burial: Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Memorials: to his church.

Pallbearers: Randy and Stan Selix, Marty Counterman and Robert L., James and David Simmons.

The family will be at Jay Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.

The casket will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
