OTTUMWA — Joyce A. Larson, 63, of 16305 55th St., died at 7:15 p.m. June 30, 2009, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.She was born Feb. 26, 1946, in Ottumwa to Henry and Muriel Landgrebe Shilling. She married John David Larson Dec. 21, 1962. He preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2002.A resident of Ottumwa all of her life, she was a shift supervisor in the dietary department at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.Surviving are three daughters, Leslie (Ken) LaRue of Ottumwa, Bobbi (Michael) More of Drakesville and Billie (Jeff) DeJong of Milton; a son, John "Jake" Larson Jr. of Ottumwa; six grandchildren, Kala LaRue, Josh and Chris DeJong, Logan, Jessica and Nathan More; her mother, Muriel Shilling of Ottumwa; two sisters, Erma Miller of Ottumwa and Barbara Suechting of California; two brothers, Alan Shilling of Sioux City and Lawrence Shilling of Ottumwa.She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Shilling.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Eakins officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.Memorials may be made to Hospice House, 312 E. Alta Vista Ave., Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
