Mrs. H.C. Fletcher

Mrs. Alma L. Fletcher, 86, died Monday at 9:40 p.m. at the Solt Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 14, 1876 in Ottumwa, the twin daughter of Adam and Victoria Schworm. She was the widow of Herbert C. Fletcher, who died in July of 1931.

Mrs. Fletcher was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Pumroy and Mrs. John Knox, and a son, William Fletcher, all of Ottumwa; a sister and a brother in Omaha; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Four sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

The service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Jay Funeral Home. Rev. C. W. Gault, pastor of the East End Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
