AGENCY — Kenneth A. Davis, 84, of rural Agency, entered into new life on Aug. 8, 2008 in Houghton, Iowa.Kenneth was born Feb. 19, 1924, near Bladensburg to Roy and Ida Smith Davis. He married Helen Rupe March 27, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.He was raised and educated near Agency, graduating from Agency High School in 1942. He was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer near Agency.Kenneth was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eldon and former 4-H leader.He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Kay Davis of Columbia, Mo.; his son, Dennis (Pat) Davis of Batavia; a brother, Richard (Leona) Davis of Moravia; plus several nieces and nephews.Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Donn; his parents; and a brother, Russell Davis.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Eldon with Pastors Robert Dvorak and David Albert officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa.Open visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon with the family present 6-7 p.m. Monday.Memorials may be directed to the Agency Volunteer Fire Department or the Eldon Volunteer Fire Department
