AGENCY — Edward L. Croisant, 76, of 103 Caylor, went to be with the Lord at 9 a.m. July 28, 2008 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.He was born Oct. 1, 1931 in Spring Valley, Ill. to Raymond and Dortha Briggs Croisant. He married Mary Louise Bergland; they divorced after 35 years of marriage.

A resident of Colorado most of his life, and of Agency for 13 years, he was a member of the Bladensburg Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He was an avid elk hunter. He was “Uncle Ed” to Jimmy Dodge and Irvin VanLoon and various friends at the lake.

Surviving is his companion for 22 years, Mary Ruth Hanna of Agency; three daughters, Jennifer Ruiz of Grand Junction, Colo., Victoria Ann Wells of Merkel, Texas, Pamela Jean Fredrich of Denver, Colo.; four sons, Steven Edward Croisant of Denver, Colo., Kevin Richard Croisant of Golden, Colo., Scott Raymond Croisant and Peter Briggs Croisant, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; three stepchildren, Janice Hanna of Arkansas, Vic Hanna and T.J. Hanna both of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Thomas Croisant; a grandson, Matthew Ruiz; a great-grandson, Matthew Ruiz.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be open at noon Sunday.God put him on this earth to be a carpenter.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.Friends may call on his family at 103 Caylor, Agency.
