AGENCY — Alan V. Briner, 42, of Tarkio, Mo., formerly of Agency, died July 23, 2008, in Casa Grande, Ariz.

He was born July 18, 1966 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Vance and Elaine Elmer Briner.A graduate of Mount Ayr High School in 1986, he was an over the road truck driver for over 20 years. He drove for many companies and especially enjoyed hauling cattle. The most important aspect of his life was his family.

Surviving are his parents of Agency; a daughter, Makenzie Briner and a son, Levi Briner both of Newton; two sisters, Dawna McClish of Ottumwa and Joni (Bill) Powers of Gentry, Mo.; a brother, Michael (Shannon) Briner of Ottumwa; three nieces, Mariah McClish, Mataya McClish and Kaitlyn Burton.

He was preceded in death by two infant brothers, David and Bryan Briner; his grandparents, Burl and Violet Briner and Henry and Marjorie Elmer.

His body has been cremated.Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to the family.
