OTTUMWA — Bonnie I. Hansen, 82, of 1402 N. Elm, died at 3:45 p.m. July 24, 2008, at Vista Woods Care Center.She was born June 2, 1926 in Ottumwa to Ray and Jessie Garrison Campbell. She married Mitchell D. “Mick” Hansen June 2, 1952 in Aurora, Ill. He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 2007. A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1944, she worked at J.C. Penney and was a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell. The most important part of her life was her family.

Surviving is a son, Brent Hansen of Ottumwa; a daughter, Michele James of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Lapsey of Ottumwa and VaDonna Kopecky of Richmond, Texas.She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Campbell.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the family present from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.Memorials may be made to the family.
