Richard H. Martz of 601 Wabash died at 5:40 A.M at the Ottumwa Hospital. He was a retired electrician.

He was born Nov. 30, 1903 in Wapello County to Amos and Mary Tadlock Martz. He lived in Ottumwa for most of his life. He was a member of the Davis St. Christian Church.

He married Marian Simmons June 2, 1926 at Ottumwa. She survives.Also surviving are two sons; Donald of Ottumwa, and Robert of Emily MINN., one daughter; Mrs. Judy Ann Tuttle of Ottumwa; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter Ramona Jean and two brothers.

*Burial was at Memorial lawn Cemetery with his daughter Ramona Jean and wife Marion.
