Mrs. Emma Haifley Kelly of 215 North Marion Street died at 2:40 a.m. today at Solt nursing home. She had fractured her hip September 3 in a fall.

She was born at Perlee of Jefferson county Iowa; the daughter of Alfred and Elizabeth Haifley, and had lived in Ottumwa more than 30 years.Her marriage to Howard Lincoln Kelly took place in 1889 at Perlee. He died April 7, 1941.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. John Harter, and a sister Mrs. Myrtle Kridlebaugh; both of Ottumwa.

Funeral servies will be at 1:30 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home with the Rev Harry Lansman of the Baptist Church in charge. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
