Married just six months, the Fiedler's were moving their belongings from 711 N. Cooper Ave. to set up housekeeping for theirselves at 1106 E. Lincoln Street.

Driver of the truck from which Fiedler was thrown was Donald Farnsworth who with his wife were to share the Lincoln Ave. residence with the Fiedler's the family said.

Fiedler was graduated from Ottumwa High School in the class of 1938 and soon thereafter was working with his grandfather Alva Randall in the latters {could not read this part} shop at 518 Church Street.

Surviving are his wife Christine; his mother; Mrs. Bernice Fiedler; and father Oliver Fiedler both of Ottumwa; a brother DeLayne and sister Donna of 711 N. Cooper St.; his grandparents the Randalls and Mrs. Mary Fiedler of Ottumwa.

Short services for young Fiedler will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson funeral chapel and at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. John R. Estes will conduct the services. Burial will be made at Memorial lawn cemetery.
