Rex C. Cloyd 73 of 1526 West second street died this morning at home.

He was born Nov. 17, 1906 in Monroe County to Benjamin & Sarah West Cloyd. He lived in Ottumwa for 50 years having retired from John Morrell & CO. in 1969. He then worked for Jerry Carpenter; Auctioneer. He married Emma F. Robinson June 20, 1959.

Survivors; his wife; Sisters; Martha Elswick of Albia and Hazel Carlberg of Ottumwa; stepchildren; Ruth Miller of Des Moines, Debbie Robinson of Ottumwa, John McKitterick and Charles "Barney" McKitterick of Las Vegas, and Catherine Clark and James McKitterick of Blue Grass, and fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Reece Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Neil Guy of First Christian Church officiating. Burial; Jay Cemetery at Blakesburg.

Pallbearers will be Jerry, Gary and Larry Carpenter, Jim and Bill Robinson, and John Collin
