Willa Mae Henderson
OTTUMWA – Willa Mae Henderson, 87, of Vista Woods Care Center, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.Willa was born Oct. 20, 1920 in Ottumwa to Ransom and Myrna Steele Richardson. She married Max Henderson Jan. 1, 1939 in Lancaster Mo. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1984.

Willa was devoted to her family as well as a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to travel and had made a trip to Germany; sewing and reading were some of her favorite things to do. Willa had also worked for the John Morrell Co.Willa is survived by one son, Don (Susie) of Ottumwa; three daughters, Dixie Maudlin (Larry) of Fremont, Linda Barnett (Bill) of Littleton Colo., and Nancy Ellsworth (Allen) of Grandbury, Texas. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, and a special friend; Audrey sands.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one grandchild, Richard Dean Barnett; three brothers and two sisters.

Open visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 8: p.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Shrine of Memories Funeral Home.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 21 at the Shrine of Memories Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to the American Heart Ass. or Hospice.Shrine of Memories Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
