OTTUMWA – Theresa C. Guffey, 52, of 243 E. Manning, died at 8:40 p.m. March 17, 2008 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.She was born Jan. 7, 1956 in Ottumwa to Donald G. and Wanda Allman Yardley. She married Kim Allen Walker Aug. 1, 1976. He preceded her in death August 12, 2001.

She married David E. Guffey February 14, 2002.A resident of Ottumwa all of her life, she attended Way of Peace Ministries. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being outdoors and listening to music.

Surviving is her husband, David; a daughter, Angela (Tony) Quinn of Ottumwa; a son, Johnny Walker of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Tanner Walker; her father, Donald G. (Nancy) Yardley of Eldon; three brothers, Donald T. Yardley of Des Moines, Mike (Cindy) Yardley and Kevin Yardley both of Ottumwa; two sisters, Pam (Randy) Selix and Sandra Simmons, both of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Sean Allen Walker; her mother, Wanda Yardley; and a brother, Joseph Yardley.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. LuEllen Worth officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.Memorials may be made to the family.
