Mrs. Alice Emily Courtney 66, of 1625 W. Second St. died Sunday at the Wapello County Home. She had been in failing health for the last three years.

The daughter of Charles and Effie Robinson Nation; she was born March 31, 1906 in Ottumwa. She married O.F. "Buck" Courtney in 1931 at Bloomfield. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter Mrs. Darrell Jennings of Ottumwa; two grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Ada Caldwell of Ottumwa, and one brother; Ted Nation also of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today at Jay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dean Werner, Donald Larson, George Shaw and Robert Mc'Nabb.

A memorial has been established payable to the North Court Baptist Church.
