— BLOOMFIELD~~Rickey Dean Honn, 59, of rural Bloomfield, died Monday, September 21, 2006, at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born September 22, 1946 in Flora, Illinois to Glenn and Hazel (Mix) Honn. On October 23, 1976 he married Nancy Ritz at Eldon, Iowa.

Rickey was employed at the LaBor Meat Packing Plant in Illinois and Excel Plant in Ottumwa, Iowa. He also was an X-ray technician at American Welding and Tank and an automotive mechanic for Jim?s Auto Sales. He was an Elder in the Eldon Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife; two children, Sara Ann Ware and Bradley Lee Honn both of Bloomfield; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Ware; two sisters, Glenna Sook of Van Wert, Iowa and Shawnna Kelly of Cylinder, Iowa; and a brother, John J. Honn of Leon, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Glenda Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., September 26, 2006, at the Henkenius-Priester Funeral Home with Rev. George Conz officiating. Burial will be in the Rouch Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. to welcome friends.

A memorial has been established to Eldon Christian Church.
