Mrs. Pearl S. Guthrie, 85, of the Good Samaritian Center died today at 12:30 a.m. following a long illness.

The daughter of Milton L. and Mary E. Randolph Korn; she was born March 26, 1881 at Bloomfield, Iowa. She had been a resident od Davis and Wapello Counties all her life and was a member of First Pentecostal church.

She was married to Leonard D. Guthrie, May 22, 1904 at Bloomfield. He preceded her in death June 7, 1934.

Surviving are four sons; Leonard of Ottumwa, Richard of Rock Island, ILL., Leander of Idaho, and Staff SGT DeWayne Guthrie of Little Rock, ARK.; four daughters; Mrs. Lucy Ralls of Caldwell, ID., Mrs. Ruth Dimidovich of Gary, IND., and Mrs. Guineveria Grimes, and Mrs. Evelyn Bigg; both of Ottumwa 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandaughter.

Also preceding her in death was one daughter in infancy; a step daughter; three brothers and two sisters.

The funeral will be Friday at Johnson Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at McCormick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter and John Bigg, Fred Diedrick, Glen and Gene Mace and Walter Selix.
