OTTUMWA~~Dewey Eugene Grimes, 30, of 17857 Rock Bluff Road, died Jan. 14, 2002 at home.

He was born Dec. 16, 1971 in Fairfield to James "Butch" and Linda Miksch Grimes. He married Jessie Marie Eslinger on Oct. 14, 1996.

A graduate of Eddyvile High School in 1991, he had been a resident of the Ottumwa area all his life. He had been employed at Morris Furniture, Clean Shot Pool Hall, and Black's Transit.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter Rochelle Shelby Lynn Grimes; his mother in Agency, his father in Ottumwa; a sister Lisa Ryan of Morengo; and a grandfather Eugene Miksch of Agency.

He is preceded in death by a sister; Shelly Guffey; and grand parents Margaret Miksch, Dewey W. and Mabel Grimes.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

Visitation will begin inthe funeral home with family present from 6-8 pm.

Pallbearers will be Josh Kopp, Jason Sallee George Brown Jr., Jonathan Vice, Bill Miller, and George Brown Sr.

Memorials may be made to Ottumwa Regional Health Foundation for Dialysis Unit.
