OTTUMWA - David Lee Pilcher, 45, of 601 Queen Anne Ave., died at 7:30 a.m. April 25, 2004, at home.

He was born Feb. 21, 1959, in Ottumwa to Clifford and Delores Christy Pilcher. He married Sherry Lynn Williams on April 11, 1981.

A resident of Ottumwa all his life, he graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1977. He operated Pilcher Mowing, had worked for Extra Touch Vending, and for the last six years, worked at Excel.

He was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible, Promise Keepers, Christian Motorcycle Association and the Men's Bowling Association.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Amy Peterson, Audrey Pilcher, Ashley Pilcher and Amber Pilcher, all of Ottumwa; one grandson, Hadden Peterson; his parents, of Ottumwa; one brother, Edgar Pilcher of Gilbert, Ariz.; three sisters, Anne Drummond of Ottumwa, Shirley Hart of Cedar Rapids and Joan Nydle of Ottumwa.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Church of the Open Bible with the Rev. Bill Hornbeck officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
