OTTUMWA — Elizabeth A. Carder, 59, passed away Dec. 26, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.

Elizabeth was born the daughter of Edgar and Ethel Veal Carder, June 11, 1948, in Ottumwa, Iowa.Elizabeth worked as an in-home provider for Iowa Enterprise Medicaid and was a member of the Baptist Temple in Ottumwa. She enjoyed reading and listening to the radio.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Betty (Robert) Downing of Ottumwa; her brother-in-law, Ivan Baskett of Glenwood, Mo.; two nephews, Edgar (Jessica) Baskett of Pulaski, Iowa, and Ivan Lee (Tina) Baskett of Glenwood, MO; two great-nephews, Wayne Baskett of Pulaski and Dalton Baskett of Glenwood, Mo.; and two great-nieces, Grace and Faith Baskett, both of Glenwood, Mo.She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Angela; her brother, Edgar Jr.; and her sister, Ramona Baskett.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, with the service following at 11 a.m., at Johnson’s Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.Memorials can be made in honor of the family.Johnson’s Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
