Jerome "Jerry" Rouse, 74, of Danville, passed away at 6:53 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

He was born Oct. 21, 1931 in Danville, the son of Noah and Mildred Scott Rouse.

Surviving are: three sons, Jerome Anthony (Stora) Rouse of Danville, Greg (Cindy) Rouse of Danville and John (Cathy) Rouse of Homer; two daughters, Brenda (Bruce) Biage of Danville and Renee (Scot) Denius of Oakwood; two brothers, Ronald Schmit of Danville and Phil (Sandy) Schmit of Ridge Farm; two sisters, Mildred Thomas of Hammond, Ind. and Patricia Schmit of Danville; two step-sisters, Helen Bewitt and Rosemary Baker; also 12 grandchil-dren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, four step-brothers and four step-sisters.

Jerry had worked for G.E. in Danville. He was also a general contactor as well as a car salesman.

He was a member of the Hillary Bible Chapel and enjoyed going to the weekly Bible Study.

Jerry was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He enjoyed meeting his family for coffee and visiting.

Most of all he enjoyed his grand-children and church family.

A celebration of life funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Officiating will be Pastor Tim Van Ryan.

Place of rest will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Renee Denius.
