DEATH TAKES FRANK McCUNE

Frank McCune of 210 East Court died shortly after noon today at Ottumwa Hospital. He had been in failing health for two months. Mr. McCune was a retired rural letter carier and retired in 1954.

The son of James C. and Margaret Neil McCune he was born in Wapello County Iowa on Feb. 16, 1884 and lived in the county all of his life.

His marriage to Ada Lewman took place in Ottumwa on Jan. 1, 1908. She survives.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, and Waverly Lodge No. 596, A.F. & A.M.,and Odd Fellows Lodge, both at Blakesburg.

Besides his widow; he leaves two sons; Ralph and Robert McCune of Ottumwa and a daughter Mrs. Margaret Banles of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren; two sisters; Mrs. Grace Evans and
Mrs. Mary Dempster; both of Ottumwa; and a brother Vern McCune Kenner, La.

One daughter Mrs. Harriett McCune Spence; a sister Mrs. Nellie L. Alcott, and a brother Roy preceded him in death.

The service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Lansman officiating the service. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Cancer Society Fund.
