OTTUMWA — Joe A. Rodosky, 99, formerly of 405 Grandview, died at 11:20 a.m. Dec. 11, 2007, at the Life Care Center in Wichita, Kan.He was born Nov. 11, 1908 in Little Rock, Ark. to Joe and Pauline Stanko Rodosky. He married Violet M. Cole Nov. 29, 1968. She preceded him in death March 16, 1988.

He farmed until 1955. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ottumwa Masonic Lodge #16 A.F. and A.M., Davenport Consistory, KAABA Shrine, Past Master Eldon Masonic Lodge #480, Past Noble Grand Eldon Odd Fellows, Past President Ottumwa Shrine Club and a member of Ottumwa Consistory Club. He was Past President of Iowa Board of Supervisors, Past President of Iowa County Officers Association, Past President of Wapello County Fair Board and served on the Wapello County Board of Supervisors from 1955 until Jan. 1, 1977.

Surviving are three grandchildren, Valerie Hoover of Wichita, Kan., Christie Twedell of Wichita, Kan., Cory Twedell of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four great-grandchildren, Andrea Burton of Indianapolis, Ind., Lindsay Hoover of Wichita, Kan., Cole Hoover of Wichita, Kan. and Hayley Twedell of Oklahoma City, Okla.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Twedell; two brothers; and two sisters.

His body has been cremated.Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ottumwa Cemetery with Rev. Lon Lewis officiating.Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children or The Lord’s Cupboard.Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
