OTTUMWA — Arlene V. Fisher, 85, a resident of Ottumwa until 2002, passed away Nov. 18, 2007, in Muncie, Ind., after an extended illness.

She was born on Sept.. 13, 1922 to William and Sarah Richards Alderdice. She was married for 53 years to Robert G. Fisher who predeceased her.

Mrs. Fisher graduated from Ottumwa High School, was a homemaker and later set up and managed to office of the Wapello Rural Water Association. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ottumwa.

After retirement she and her late husband spent many winters in Arizona where she loved to take pictures, play bridge and spend time with friends.

Arlene is survived by her loving family; a daughter, Marla Templeton, Muncie, Ind.; a son, Robert V. (Connie) Fisher, Heber City, Utah; and three grandchildren, Robert Shad Fisher, Park City, Utah, Ashley (Michael) Murcia, DeKalb, Ill. and Alyssa Templeton, Muncie, Ind.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Elgin officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday with family visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. and one hour before services on Saturday.Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ottumwa, Iowa.
