Mrs. Hattie E. Short of 125 S. Schyler died today at 4:20 pm. at Ottumwa Hospital.

She was born Feb. 3, 1901 at Ottumwa, the daughter of George and Hattie Feeney Eaves and was a lifetime resident of Ottumwa.

She married George R. Short 1921 in Ottumwa. He died in 1951.

Surviving are four sons; George and Robert of Ottumwa; Jack of Viola, Ill., and Joe of Burlington. Five daughters; Beatrice Schultz, Mary Davis,Dorothy Jones, Lois Brewer, and Dixie Lee Miller of Ottumwa; thirty eigth grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 3:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home of Ottumwa. Burial will be in McIntire Cemetery.
