July 13,1959Leo C. Eaves; 49 of 213 East Court Street; died at 12:15 pm. at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.
A son of George and Hattie Feeney Eaves he was born march 4, 1910 in Ottumwa where he lived most of his life.
He was married to Dorothy Bix on Oct. 6, 1928 at Waterloo.
On December 21, 1941;he enlisted in the Air Force. He served for more than 16 months in Europe; and was discharged January 31, 1951.
Surviving besides his wife; are two sons; Harold Eves of Ottumwa, and Donald Eaves of Lomita, Calif.; a daughter Helen Louise Eaves at home; two grandchildren; a brother Charles Eaves of Ottumwa; and a sister Mrs. Hattie Short of Ottumwa.
His parents; three sisters, and five brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at Johnson Funeral Home at Ottumwa. Burial will be at the Ottumwa Cemetery.There will be military services at the graveside.
