OTTUMWA — Edna I. Brainard, 96, formerly of 402 1/2 Richmond, died at 8:10 a.m. Oct. 28, 2007, at Good Samaritan Nursing and Rehab Center.She was born Dec. 15, 1910 in Blakesburg to Clark and Fannie Tinsley Peck. She married Lloyd C. Brainard Oct. 20, 1940. He preceded her in death June 30, 1973.A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she worked with her husband in auto sales. She was a member of First Pentecostal Assembly of God.Surviving is a daughter, Marcia (Pat) Harrison formerly of Ottumwa; and a stepgrandson.She was preceded in death by a son, Keith; a sister, Pauline Glover; four brothers, Lawrence Peck, Paul Peck, Emmett Peck and John Peck.Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shaul Cemetery with Rev. Phil Griffith officiating. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.Memorials may be made to the Heartland Humane Society.
