OTTUMWA — Karen Kae Jackson Dyer, 66, of 1622 W. Main St., died at 11:10 p.m. Nov. 4, 2007, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.She was born Dec. 25, 1940 to Marion and Dorothy Clancy Jackson. She married Albert Eugene Dyer Sr. June 15, 1959. He preceded her in death May of 1978.A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1957, she had worked as a prep cook and waitress, having worked in all areas of restaurants. She enjoyed cooking and helping people.Surviving are four sons, Charles “Pete” (Dianna Blake) Dyer, James Dyer, Brian (Dawn Benge) Dyer and Tracy Dyer all of Ottumwa; a daughter, Caron (Justin Bowen) Robinson of Ottumwa; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Albert E. “J.R.” Dyer, Jr.; and a sister, Marilyn Reed.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Junior Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.Memorials may be made to the family.
