OTTUMWA — Roscoe “Rocky” Leroy Jessop, 52, of Centerville, formerly of Ottumwa, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.He was born July 5, 1955 in Ottumwa to Grant Martin and Edna Clarkson Jessop. He married Pamela Davison, Oct. 2, 1993 in Davenport.He was a truck driver who liked to go fishing and camping and loved spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include three sons, James Sr., Marty and Clarence Jessop; six daughters, Michelle Bazer, Crystal, Susan and Bethany Jessop, Tammy Clinkenbeard and Dawn Denny; 27 grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur McSparen, Victor McSparen and Marty G. Jessop; two sisters, Janet Lasley and Trudie Howard; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.He was preceded by his mother, Edna Marks; stepfather, Hank Marks; stepmother, Jean Jessop and several aunts and uncles.Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home with his sister, Janet Lasley, officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.Open visitation begins 9 a.m. Friday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home with the family present from 6:30-8 p.m.Pallbearers are James, Marty and Clarence Jessop, Randy Campbell, Curtis Clinkenbeard and Chris Williamson.Memorials may be made to the family.
